Buffering components made of fine resin are installed between the bezel and case, with a three-pronged structure dispersing shocks to the band’s connecting pipes, to deliver all the shock resistance of a G-SHOCK in a full-metal timepiece. And the case back features a screw-lock construction to ensure a tight seal.

The metal band pieces are dimpled to reproduce the look of the resin band design of the very first G-SHOCK. The stainless-steel bezel is meticulously forged, cut, and polished for stunning depth and dimension. With a minute grind-mark finish and vapour deposition applied to the inset dial ring and more, precision die moulding technologies applied by Yamagata Casio deliver meticulously detailed surface finishes. In addition, vapour deposition applied to the dimensional index marks and the indicator hand emphasises the metallic texture, creating a dial design that complements the watch’s metal exterior.
